FBI Annual Youth Academy Accepting Applications!

On Wednesday, July 18, 2012  from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., the Philadelphia Division of the FBI will hosts its annual Youth Academy Program.  For the first time in the program’s history we will be traveling off site to host the day’s events.  Girard College has graciously agreed to provide the site for our venue.  High School students in grades 9th through 12th grade are urged to join us for a day filled with lots of hands on exercise, demonstrations and presentations.   Students will learn about: Crime Scene Analysis; Special Weapons and Tactics; and many other aspects of law enforcement.  The deadline for applying is Friday, July 13, 2012.  Students should review the flyer, complete the attached application and return it to Community Outreach Specialist Natosha R. Warner, electronically.  Upon confirmation of an acceptance, students and their parents will receive additional information.  There is no fee for participation, however students will be responsible for their own lunch.

Have you ever wanted to know about the inner workings of the FBI?  Do you have questions that search engines just cannot answer?  Sign-up for the FBI Youth Academy, Wednesday, July 18, 2012, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., by completing the attached application.  The FBI Youth Academy is only available to High School Students (grades 9-12). The program is free, but space is limited.  This year we will be hosting the activities on the Campus of Girard College, 2101 South College Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19121.  Attendees will learn about crime scenes, bomb detection, Special Weapons and Tactics and lots more from the FBI and our law enforcement partners.  Attendees should also expect to take part in our fitness exercise, etc.  Students will need to bring a bagged lunch, as there are no cafeteria services on campus. More information will follow upon acceptance of completed application.  Applications should be e-mailed to Community Outreach Specialist Natosha R. Warner by no later than Friday, July 13, 2012 (no applications will be accepted after this date).
